Webmending

This spider was photographed earlier this summer, and was in the process of mending it's web after very nearly catching a very large yellow-jacket. The insect managed to tear itself free before the spider could get to it, but managed to tear off a few threads of silk in the process.

Spiders aren't my favorite creatures, but the attention to detail and care these garden variety spend on the webs is remarkable.
