Oliphaunt am I,

I wanted to capture the light in this room- there are times when it's truly perfect. The room is aglow with reflected light, and with the way it bounces, for about twenty minutes around 11:00AM in the morning, it's amazing light to read by without turning on a single lamp. The light bounces from the wood floor to the ceiling and then shines down in the whole room, and it's magnificent.

I needed a subject, and this (being the most awesome book in my collection) seemed to scream at me. The most epic story for the most epic light in the house- in the most comfortable spot in the house, where chaise lounge and couch intersect.

I'm ashamed to say, I haven't read this copy- yet. I have a paperback that has taken the brunt of my attentions for many, many, many years. Now, I have this which I hope will be something I can pass on to some young reader in my family, far into the future. Well after I have read it and loved it for decades to come.
